The name Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè was founded by Nrêl Treg̈me, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Overview

Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 17th century in early spring of the year 1626, by Nrêl Treg̈me. The establishment of Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè's construction back out of the project. Nrêl Treg̈me pushed on reguardles, and Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè is buildings are located arround a single broad paverstone mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a town of Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè's size could have. The well-designed, yet cheep have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up.

Cultural Notes

Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

History

Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè is in secret rebellion against their ostensible liege, having cut deals with his enemies, plotted to betray him for their own gain, or bridled under his tyranny and sought a better lord. The community’s leadership is all in on this plot, and outside viceroys or representatives are being kept carefully ignorant of the reality. The common folk may be oblivious to the truth, though they’ll doubtless have felt the same motivations and promptings that convinced their leaders to turn traitor.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè was rocked by a string of powerful winter storms. The worst of the disaster struck The storm coated everything in a thick layer of ice and freezing countless animals, plants, and people to death. Rëmî-vëki Dêtîkè lost 217 people, and 242 livestock in the disaster.. The disaster is remembered as the Dread Screams, after the sounds of the winds.
